  • the beginning

Having been called up and given a bag, I briskly walked down the hallway towards the large double doors leading outside. As I walked, I unzipped the bag and quickly examined the contents. Two water bottles, a compass, a first-aid kit (relatively pointless in this situation, i thought), map, and a handgun with two extra magazines. I rezipped the bag and reached the doors, thinking to myself, At least I won't be a complete sitting duck. Yea, I was shocked and horrified at first, but I figured, if this shit's real, I need to think about survival. There are definitely going to be players, I thought. Defnitely.

Pressing the bar and pushing the door open, I found that the building we had ended up at was on top of hill overlooking a small town. There was a small dirt parking lot that led to the main dirt road which I assumed winded all the down the hill and into town. I figured that wouldn't be the smartest path to take, being the most obvious, so I walked right and down the hill, into the trees that grew in abundance around what I could now tell was a mansion.

Now that I had looked back, though, I remembered some of my classmates. Should I wait for some of them or just leave now? I could probably trust a small handful of them and we could try to stick together for ... as long as possible, I guess. But what if one of them snaps? How do I deal with that, then? Well, I could just ditch them. Or kill them. But do I want to deal with stress? Whatever, I thought, I'll wait for the next three people to come out. Assuming none of those next three don't try to attack me. People usually tell me, I thought you were hella scary at first, so seeing me waiting outside in this situation might not bear the best results. "Oh look, there's Winston, he's totally chll, we'll be fine" or "Oh shit, I'm not sure if I can trust him". Whatever, I was standing somewhat off the side, some twenty feet from the door, hands in pockets. I thought, I should probably have made the gun accessible just in case, but the door swang outwards as Jaci cautiously stepped out, bag underarm.

So there, I finally started my Battle Royale project, if you haven't figured out by now. The first few posts will be on both my regular xanga (this) and my official BR xanga (http://www.xanga.com/battleroyale28). I might get a blogspot or something else for it, too, but we'll see.
